Many times there is not much you can do when it comes to construction work being done outside your apartment. Most cities allow construction crews to begin work at 7am and last until 5pm. If the crew near your apartment is breaking those rules talk to your apartment management team and they can address the issue and put a stop to early morning noise.

However, beyond that the key to ignoring loud construction work is to try and be proactive and try to drown out the noise. Keep some light background music playing in the mornings so you can focus on that instead of the loud noise. You can also try sound proofing your apartment when heavy drapes to help capture the sounds before they even enter your apartment. Just remember to try and stay calm and do whatever you can to find your “serenity now”.
