Store firewood artfully: even if you don’t have a fireplace (which most apartments do not) you can store firewood and use it as an accent piece. This is not so random, because you can eventually use the wood when you go camping to have a bonfire.
Wall paper: apartments do not typically allow wall papers, but you can still use the stuff. Find a great wall paper and put it on four canvasses and artfully hang them in your living room.
